Grief Counseling in Texas

Grief is a natural and normal response to the death of a loved one, and each of us will experience it in our own unique way.

In a culture that encourages "pushing through" and finding the silver lining, it can be hard to find space to fully express the truth of your experience. I prioritize creating an environment where you feel heard and supported, with room for every feeling that comes with loss.

Grief can range from anger to anguish, numbness to laughter, deep connection to exhaustion and apathy, and so much more. It has no timeline. Having support and guidance through the intensity of these feelings can help tremendously.

At times, our families and friends can't bear to see us in pain, and they find it difficult to walk alongside us through the long haul of grief. We may also begin to feel like a burden to those around us if we keep opening up about our loss so instead, we hide or push away what’s really on our mind.

This is a place where there is room for the truth of your experience. You don't have to put on a mask, and you don't have to hurry to feel healed. You can share your story and the story of your loved one, and then tell it all over again if that feels right. Together, we'll carve out a time where your feelings take center stage, explore the coping skills that work best for you, and help you feel honored, supported and more grounded.

This is a space where you can take as much time as you need.
